Todmorden NFM Open Evening

As we are all too aware, the risk of flooding with its devastating effects on our lives and livelihoods is an ever-present threat. Every heavy rainfall event puts us on alert. We don’t have to be passive victims. This evening is about land-based interventions from tree and hedge planting to temporary ponds and leaky dams that help to mitigate the risk of flooding. Contributors from The Environment Agency Slow-The-Flow Calderdale, Treesponsibility, Todmorden Flood Group Calder and Colne Rivers Trust, and Calderdale Council, will be there to explain about all these measures and the funding schemes that will pay for them. They all very much want to meet you and answer your questions
