Treesponsibilty Holidays
We run weekend breaks, combining tree planting, climate awareness and great seasonal local food, across the tree planting season, which runs from Oct to May.
Our regular “big plantings” are our Autumn Gathering, often the first planting of the season, New Year’s Day planting, which needs no explanation but to say we've attracted up to 60 local people out some years, and our Birthday Planting, in March, where we like to see all our friends, old and new.
We have attracted birthday celebrations, environmental groups, student societies, and individuals looking for an alternative to flying off somewhere exotic.
Many people come to Calderdale for their breaks anyway, so what better way to meet nice people, share great food and enjoy what the valley has to offer. You can spend the whole weekend with us, or just come out for the day’s site work.
